MAGIC FESTIVAL 2024 | May 10 - 12, 2024 | IX. international festival of modern magic
Dear friends of magic, magicians, magical women and magical friends, let me take this opportunity to officially invite you to join us in Uherské Hradiště for the IXth International Festival of Modern Magic MAGIC FESTIVAL 2024 on May 10-12, 2024 at the Culture Club in Uherské Hradiště.
After two years, the magic festival, which has earned the reputation of the largest and most prestigious festival of modern magic in our country, is returning to Uherské Hradiště. It proves its prestige among other things by the fact that it has already been selected twice by the Executive Board of the Czech Magic Association to host the Czech Republic Championship in Modern Magic.
This year, we have invited not only magicians who are among the European leaders in modern magic, but this time the queen of magic, the world champion Juliana Chen, will come to us from the United States. We have already confirmed the participation of Anca and Lucca from Austria, the most successful mentalist magician couple, who have always defended the first place in their category in the three FISM World Championships, Daniel Prado, the talent of the year and outstanding Brazilian magician Alain Simonov, the Hungarian magician Tamás Badár, who impressed even David Copperfield himself with his innovative magic at the MAGIC live! And currently we are still in talks with the great magician and Close Up expert Toni Polli from Italy.
MAGIC FESTIVAL is organized by professional magician Jiří Hadaš in cooperation with the Culture Club Uherské Hradiště. MAGIC FESTIVAL has the official patronage of the Czech Magic Association and the Union of Moravian Magicians. It follows a series of successful magic shows held between 1979 and 1989 in Uherské Hradiště. Among the most notable ones were the shows when magician Miroslav Svoboda was released from a straitjacket on a burning rope in front of the Culture Club, and in the following year the fakir Ben Gham (Zdeněk Zahrádka) tried to break the record and lay on his haunches in a shop window on the square for 24 hours. However, the most successful show was the one with Arabella, when the Slovácké Theatre was sold out 5 times.
Magicians from all over Europe are already interested in the MAGIC FESTIVAL. During the eight previous editions, many professional magicians from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Argentina, Jordan and Russia visited Uherské Hradiště and performed during the festival.
MAGIC FESTIVAL is a friendly meeting of professional and amateur magicians. The festival includes a competition in three categories, the Mayor's Award will be presented and the GRAND PRIX will be awarded to the absolute winner.
This year's edition includes popular composed educational programmes for children and youth, MAGIC TOWN - street magic for the general public, professional magic seminars, a competition show, Friday's mentalist show THE MIND-READING REVOLUTION, a gala evening MAGIC GALASHOW with the announcement of the results, which will culminate the MAGIC FESTIVAL 2024. The programme will feature not only the aforementioned stars, but also other guests. The magical marathon continues on Sunday morning, when, in addition to other expert seminars, there will be a morning meeting with our international guests and the popular Q&A block. After lunch, we'll be doing some more magic for families, the public and festival attendees in the MAGICAL SUNDAY show (*programme change subject to change).
